Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join a global Freight Forwarding Client and its Sales team.
This role is pivotal in driving growth and expanding our market presence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of business development strategies and have experience in utilising software tools, particularly Salesforce, to enhance operational efficiency and client engagement.
Responsibilities
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
• Conduct market research to identify trends and potential areas for expansion.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create tailored solutions for clients.
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to prospective clients.
• Monitor industry developments and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
• Utilise Salesforce for tracking sales activities, managing customer relationships, and reporting on performance metrics.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to secure profitable partnerships.
Skills
• Proven experience in business development or sales management, preferably within a similar industry.
• Strong proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM software is essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and market trends effectively.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision- making.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
