We’re recruiting a Warehouse Operative for a well-established materials manufacturer based in Chadderton, supplying advanced materials used in the aerospace, wind energy, marine and automotive industries.

This is a key role within a busy warehouse team, supporting the Warehouse Manager to keep operations running accurately and efficiently while delivering excellent service to customers.

• Overtime paid at time + ½ on all hours above 38 hours
• Fixed shift pattern, 2:00pm–10:10pm, once training is complete

The Role:

• Loading and unloading deliveries safely, accurately and efficiently
• Storing product correctly, protecting it from damage, and recording storage locations accurately
• Picking, packaging and dispatching orders accurately and on time
• Issuing and receiving materials and finished goods to and from Production
• Carrying out continuous cycle counts
• Managing customer returned goods
• Keeping Navision system entries accurate and up to date
• Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping across the warehouse
• Using safe manual handling techniques, and ensuring others do the same
• Operating FLT and other material handling equipment safely and competently
• Reporting any health and safety hazards to your Manager

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience in a busy warehouse environment is essential
• Counterbalance and reach FLT licence essential
• Well organised, confident and self-motivated
• Good communication skills
• Able to use your own initiative and help drive continual improvement within the team
