
Lab Technician – Stanley
Start People Ltd are recruiting for an experienced Lab Technician for our client who are based in Stanley.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a family ran business who offer fantastic career development and ongoing training.
This role will be working 12 hour shifts of rotating days and nights – the shift pattern runs for 4 weeks on days then 4 weeks on nights.
Rota 1 Days; Monday Tuesday Wednesday 6am to 6pm Pay Rate £14.59 per hour
Rota 2 Nights; Sunday Monday Tuesday 6pm to 6am Pay Rate £17.09 per hour
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Lab Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting quality assurance processes and conducting precise analysis to ensure the integrity of our products and research. Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory tests and experiments following established protocols to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards.
- Prepare samples, reagents, and solutions accurately, maintaining meticulous records of all procedures and results.
- Analyse data using appropriate techniques, documenting findings clearly for review by senior staff.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring calibration and cleanliness are consistently upheld.
- Assist in developing new testing methods or improving existing procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations.
- Support the organisation of laboratory supplies and manage inventory levels effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience or education in laboratory sciences, with a strong understanding of quality assurance principles.
- Excellent analysis skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data recording.
- Ability to operate specialised laboratory equipment competently.
- Strong organisational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to document findings clearly.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to laboratory environments is preferred.
