Start People Ltd are seeking a dedicated Production Operator to join our client in Newton Aycliffe.

In this role, you will be responsible for operating production equipment, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of factory safety standards, mechanical systems, and will be trained on overhead crane.

This is working on 2 shifts (rotating)

• DAYS Monday to Thursday 06:30 to 16:00 and Friday 06:30 to 13:30 – £14.15 per hour
• NIGHTS Monday to Wednesday 18:00 to 06:00 and Thursday 16pm to 23:00. – £16.08 Nights

Duties

• Operate and monitor machinery used in the workplace
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and products to identify defects or deviations
• Record production data accurately
• Manual Handling and general house keeping
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets while maintaining safety standards

Skills

• Knowledge of production and following processes
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance or troubleshooting on equipment
• Strong understanding of production processes and quality control measures
• Overhead crane
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to follow detailed instructions precisely in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills for effective teamwork and reporting issues promptly
