Factory Operative – Chilton, Ferryhill
Start People Ltd are seeking a dedicated Factory Operative for our client in Chilton, Ferryhill.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting production processes, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining a safe and organised work environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with an interest in manufacturing and hands-on work, providing valuable experience within a dynamic industrial setting.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 6am to 2:45pm. This role is weekly pay along with a good weekly BONUS.
There is also an opportunity in the 2nd factory which has different shift times on 6-2 / 2-10 rotation. weekly pay plus a weekly BONUS.
Duties
- Operate various types of machinery and equipment used in the production process, adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist with assembly tasks, including fitting components using hand tools and power tools.
- Conduct routine inspections of products and equipment to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Support the movement and organisation of materials within the warehouse or production area.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures to ensure consistent output.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
Experience
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for understanding machinery operations and troubleshooting issues.
- Experience with manual handling, production processes is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills and a proactive approach to safety are essential.
