We are partnering exclusively with a prestigious global electrical distributor to find an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager covering the whole UK and Ireland focusing on the Data Centre sectors. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join a renowned global company and play a key role in driving growth and expanding their market presence.
Role Overview:
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing new business relationships, and expanding the customer base across the UK and Ireland. You will identify opportunities, build strong relationships with key decision makers, and work closely with internal teams to deliver top-tier electrical solutions to a variety of industries. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while contributing to the overall growth of a global brand.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and target new business opportunities within the UK..
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers, contractors, and customers.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to deliver tailored solutions to customers.
  • Understand customer needs and translate them into actionable business strategies.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to ensure a competitive edge.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, pipeline progress, and market feedback.
  • Participate in industry events, networking opportunities, and trade shows to promote the company’s offerings.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record in business development and sales within the electrical distribution or related industries.
  • Excellent knowledge of the electrical products and services market, with the ability to understand complex technical solutions.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively across a wide region.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to identify and pursue growth opportunities.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and driven by achieving sales targets.
  • Ability to travel within the Midlands and surrounding areas as needed.
