Packing Operatives, based in Thirsk

Start People is excited to offer full-time position for a Packing Operative for our client based in Thirsk. With immediate starts available and the potential for permanent employment after a qualifying period, this is a chance you don’t want to miss!

Pay and Shift Pattern:

• Full Time – Monday to Friday, 08:00am to 16:30pm
• £11.44 per hour, to be paid weekly.

Activities will include:

• Participate in all aspects of manufacturing/packaging process operations.
• Weighing, packing and labelling of finished goods ready for dispatch.
• Carrying out a variety of physical Manual Handling tasks as instructed, lifting equipment and products from 5kg up to 25kg.
• Ensuring excellent and safe food hygiene when in these areas of the factory.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Excellent communications skills.
• Ability to work well within a team environment.
• Ability to work accurately
• Responsible for complying with food safety, food security and quality
• Ability to adhere to the strictest levels of hygiene and cleanliness.

• Ability to follow written instructions.
• Willingness to be flexible to meet the demands of the job.
• Effective team working.
• Willingness to learn and work to Standard Operating Procedure’s (SOP’s) as you become part of a highly specialised team.
